The 7 Days Uganda Chimpanzee Safari  mainly concentrating on tracking the chimpanzees and return back. It should be noted that Uganda suggests the best chimpanzee tracking adventures. The chimpanzees here are fully habituated and tracker have an opportunity only here for a close-up encounter. This safari will mainly concentrate on chimpanzee. Mainly to do chimpanzee habituation and tracking alongside other encounters. The trip starts from Entebbe goes to Kibale National Park famously called the world’s primate capital, and returns to Kampala, and finally to Entebbe airport.

It’s one of Early Trail Special less packed safari, it’s the for luxury travelers who are not yarning for huge.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe

It’s your arrival date at Entebbe International Airport, will be picked by the Early Trail Expeditions Uganda driver guide who will handle you for the rest of the days you’re to spend on your trip. Drive to Kampala at your lodge/hotel for the overnight and dinner.

Day 2: Transfer to Fort Portal city

Today following your delicious served breakfast, your driver guide will be ready to transfer you. It’s a relaxed morning, not rushing and driving at a best comfortable speed. Will drive straight to Fort Portal city, with lunch en-route will drive to Amabere cave and do also visit some unique crater lakes. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale and track chimpanzees

This relaxed morning enjoy your morning breakfast, do some of the adventure activities done at Akira Alira adventure park. Approaching afternoon hours, take a drive to Kibale National Park. With lunch en-route you will do an afternoon chimpanzee tracking session. The track starts at 2pm and the search can last between 30 minutes to 2 hours searching for the habituated chimpanzee communities. Dinner and overnight

Day 4: Chimpanzee habituation

Today, after the well served breakfast, then will hurry to Kanyachu starting point for the day track. Chimpanzee habituation is a full day adventure where travelers head into the forest, search and follow the chimpanzees. When the chimpanzees are found, trackers have to spend about 4 hours with the apes. So, well prepared with packed eats, enough drinking water, wearing tracking gears. The chimpanzee habituation adventure is more than just a track but a full day spent with the apes. The habituation process is aimed at making the chimps used to human presence, these are known to be shy mammals which in most cases shy away in case of uncertainties.

After the track, will return to the starting point, refresh and make your lunch. Then will rest at your lodge for the rest of the hours. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 5: Primate tracking and community visit

Today will visit the Bigodi swamp to track various primates. Kibale National Park is known for hosting the highest number of primate species about 13 primates. This is almost the biggest record in the world for one forest to host about 13 primate species. This makes Kibale forest the world’s primate capital. Among the primates to track in Kibale forest include; black and white colobus, red tailed monkeys, Mangebay, baboons, bush babies, L’Hoest, Vevert monkeys, pattas, pottos among others. The primate track is as well accompanied by several bird species, amazing tree plantations, and several mammals like bushbucks, among others.

Then, with lunch en-route will take an afternoon visit to the community at Bigodi village. Around village will understand how the community is involved in the conservation of the protected areas around them. You can as decide to buy some of the souvenirs made from local materials from the wetland. The return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer back to Kampala

Today, will take your relaxed breakfast and board for your back to Kampala. You will en-route for lunch and even can visit the traditional site of Walumbe Etanda in Mityana. This is believed to be the place where the mighty first Buganda started his journey. Then, will learn about the spirit of death (Walumbe Etanda). Then continue to Kampala to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Kampala city tour and transfer to Entebbe airport

Today will make it a day to explore some of the interesting stories/ places in Kampala. Visit Kasubi tombs, and Mengo Palace, these are iconic sites for Buganda Kingdom. Then, afterwards your driver will driver to Entebbe International Airport for your next flight back home.
